This week Jewish and Arab believers from all over Israel are mobilizing for a time of consecration before the throne of God. This is a call to the body of Messiah in Israel for three days of repentance, fasting and prayer for the nation of Israel. During a time when Israel is still engaged in fierce battle with the terror organization Hamas in Gaza, and when the nations of the world are aligning itself against God’s prophetic future for Israel, the pressure on the nation is immense.

We understand that no man, politician, or leader can bring about a solution to what Israel faces, but only Jesus can. The verses that God has brought to the body of believers in Israel during this time of prayer are listed here below, and speak powerfully of the heart attitude that we must adopt as we come before the throne of God:

Jeremiah 8:23 – “If only my head were water and my eyes a fountain of tears, then I would weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!”

Jeremiah 2:13 – “My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.”

Jeremiah 17: 5,7 – “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the LORD. But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.”

It will be a time when we as Israeli believers, Arab and Jew alike, will begin by repenting of our sins before God. Thereafter we will move on to repentance on behalf of the body of Messiah collectively in Israel. And finally we will repent of the sins of the nation of Israel before the throne of God. As we pray, repent, and fast we believe that the heavenlies will be shaken, that strongholds will be brought down, and that a new reality will be established, one on which we can build towards true spiritual renewal and healing in Israel.

We ask that you please join with us in prayer, fasting, and repentance this week. We believe that Israel’s real challenge and threat comes from the spiritual realm, and that what has happened of late is a physical manifestation and symptom of a spiritual assault against Israel, as well as the nation’s own spiritual condition. Let’s stand together in faith that times of refreshing and renewal will come as we seek the Lord with all of our heart this week. Amen!
