Our special Rosh Hashana outreach project has kicked off very well with over 230 holiday food boxes being delivered to those in need. It is truly wonderful to behold how God is using Arab believers in Israel, along with believers from the nations, to honor and bless the Jewish people during their celebration of Rosh Hashana (the Feast of Trumpets). It is an incredible testimony for the Jewish people when they witness the reality and love of Jesus through our acts of kindness and love.
Our Rosh Hashana project has presented us with a very effective platform to share about who we are and why we do what we do. This was especially important during this time, as we got to share the prophetic significance of the Feast of Trumpets, as pointing to the return of Jesus and Judgment Day, when Jesus will return with the trumpet of God.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first
1 Thessalonians 4:16
Through your generous support, this past week we were able to bless 120 Ukrainian Refugee families with our special Rosh Hashana food boxes, as well as electric kettles! These kettles will be a big help for these dear ones, as winter is just around the corner and a hot cup of tea or coffee will go a long way to keep someone warm. In addition, we were also able to provide 24 orphan soldiers, 40 Holocaust Survivors, and 50 new Jewish immigrant families in Nof Hagalil with Rosh Hashana food boxes. Praise the Lord!
Our initial aim was to distribute 150 food boxes, but we stepped out in faith and provided 234 boxes in total. To the families in Nof HaGalil we also provided additional essentials such as school backpacks, toiletries and clothes. The municipality of Nof HaGalil sent us a wonderful thank you letter, for which we are so grateful. It shows us that the work we do is shining the love of Jesus and touching people’s hearts.
The mayor of Nof HaGalil, Mr. Ronen Plot, also phoned me personally to convey his thanks to our partners and donors from around the world. He mentioned something very important—that we are serving as bridge builders to reconcile and facilitate peace between Jews and Arabs in Israel. Hallelujah, what a testimony!
In the meantime we have received many more calls and text messages for aid during Rosh Hashana, and so our goal now is to provide an additional 90 Rosh Hashana food boxes to the Ukrainian Refugees and New Jewish Immigrants of our neighboring town of Nof Hagalil. If you would like to bless Ukrainian Refugees and new Jewish Immigrants during Rosh Hashana, please consider sowing a $30 seed to bless a family with a holiday food box, or even multiple families.
Thank you and Shana Tova!
