This past week was such a joyful and meaningful time at Home of Jesus the King Church. We gathered together to dedicate our kids to the Lord as they step into a brand-new school year. What a privilege it was to surround them with prayer, blessing, and love!
As a congregation, we lifted up each child before the Lord, asking Him to protect them, guide them, and fill their school days with wisdom, peace, and joy. We believe that God has a special destiny for every one of these precious lives—that He has marked them for success not just in their studies, but in their walk with Him.
The words of John spoke strongly to us:
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
3 John 1:2
This is exactly our prayer for our children—that they will grow in knowledge and understanding, but even more importantly, that their souls will prosper in the love and truth of Jesus.
To make the day extra special, we also blessed the kids with school gifts to encourage them and help them start the year with confidence. It was a joy to see their smiles and excitement, knowing that they are supported not only by their families, but by their whole church family as well.
As we look ahead to this new school year, we stand on God’s promises that our children are destined for success. Not success as the world defines it, but the kind of success that comes from living in God’s presence, walking in His wisdom, and shining His light wherever they go.
Friends, please keep our children in your prayers. Let’s believe together that this will be a year of growth, blessing, and fruitfulness in their lives—both in school and in their faith.
