At Home of Jesus the King Church, we are always seeking ways to share the love of Jesus with those who need it most. Recently, our team visited a special-needs school in Haifa to bless the children and their families during this difficult season. With hearts full of compassion, we wanted to show these precious children that they are deeply loved and not forgotten.
As part of this outreach, we brought 150 special Therapy Bears—soft, comforting companions designed to help children with special needs. The joy on the children’s faces was priceless. Seeing their smiles light up the room reminded us of the profound impact small gestures of love can have.
In addition to the Therapy Bears, we also delivered many food baskets for the parents of these children. Each basket was filled with nutritious, long-lasting food items to ease some of the burdens these families face. During these trying times, providing both emotional support and practical assistance is vital. Every hug, gift, and act of kindness can help these families find the strength to keep going, especially as they navigate the challenges that come with the ongoing war.
Our time with the children was truly beautiful.
We were able to share the love of Jesus in simple but meaningful ways, reminding them that they are precious in His sight. Just as Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me… for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these,” we believe that every child—regardless of ability—is close to God’s heart.
The visit was so impactful that the school has already invited us to return at Christmas to bring gifts to the children. Pastor Elias, who is Pastor Saleem’s brother, will join us in spreading holiday cheer, dressed as Santa Claus, adding a festive touch to our next outreach.
We believe that this visit is the beginning of a beautiful relationship between our church and this special school. It is our prayer that God will use this connection for His glory and that these dear children will continue to experience His love through our friendship and care.
