This past week, the church was filled with a special warmth as women gathered for a meaningful women’s meeting led by Nisreen, Pastor Saleem’s wife.
From the moment the women arrived, there was a sense that this was more than just another gathering. It was a space prepared for listening, honesty, prayer, and encounter—a place where hearts could rest and be renewed in God’s presence.
Women from different backgrounds and life stages came together, each carrying her own story, questions, and burdens. Yet as the meeting unfolded, it became clear that God was weaving those individual stories into something shared and sacred.
At the center of the gathering was the story of the Samaritan woman—a familiar passage, yet one that continues to speak freshly and personally. Together, the women reflected on the different stations of her life, recognizing pieces of their own journeys along the way. We remembered the things we once “drank from”—the sources we hoped would bring fulfillment, security, or peace—and how, time and again, they left us thirsty for something more.
The reflection paused at the moment that changed everything: when the Samaritan woman encountered Jesus at the well. This moment became a mirror for many in the room, reminding us of our own encounters with Him—moments when truth met compassion, when grace reached into broken places, and when our lives quietly began to turn in a new direction.
From there, the focus moved to the living water Jesus offers—water that truly satisfies, restores, and sustains. The women were encouraged to receive again from this well which never runs dry, especially in seasons of weariness, responsibility, and unseen struggle.
One of the most powerful moments of the meeting came as the women were invited to leave behind what they had been carrying. In prayer and reflection, fears, sins, disappointments, and heavy burdens were laid down beside the well. It was a gentle but profound act of trust—choosing to no longer hold what Jesus invites us to give to Him.
The gathering concluded with a quiet challenge: to consider who we are called to testify to. Like the Samaritan woman, who went back to her community changed and unashamed, we are called not only to receive healing and truth, but also to carry it forward—into our homes, friendships, and daily lives.
This women’s meeting was marked by healing, hope, and renewal. Many women left with lighter hearts, deeper faith, and a renewed sense of joy and purpose. We are thankful for Nisreen’s faithful leadership and for every woman who came with an open heart.

Please pray that what God began in this gathering would continue to grow and bear fruit—that each woman would be strengthened in her faith, filled daily with the living water of Jesus, and supported in every season of life. Pray for healing where there is pain, courage where there is fear, and wisdom as these women walk out their calling in their families, workplaces, and communities.
