Tuma’s story is a powerful reminder that God’s love and power can break through even the darkest moments of life.
Tuma, an elderly man, suffered a devastating fall that severely impaired his motor functions. The doctors gave a grim prognosis—not only was his body affected, but they feared his mental functions had also deteriorated.
His wife, a faithful member of our congregation, reached out and asked if I could pray for him at the hospital. She was heartbroken because he could no longer recognize anyone. When I arrived, Tuma seemed unresponsive, and my heart cried out to God. I whispered a simple but desperate prayer: “Lord, please give him just 10 minutes of clarity—open his heart and mind so I can pray with him.”
I sat beside him, gently speaking his name, and by God’s grace, he began to respond. I explained the love of Jesus and asked if he wanted to receive Yeshua as his Lord and Savior. To my amazement, Tuma not only understood but responded with a heartfelt ‘yes.’ We prayed the prayer of repentance together, and in that sacred moment, he opened his heart to Jesus.
After our prayer, I told him, “Jesus loves you.” His reply was simple but profound: “I love Him too.” It was a moment of pure faith, and I felt God’s presence so deeply. I encouraged Tuma, telling him, “The Lord will do a miracle in your life.” Tuma smiled softly and agreed.
Later, I spoke with Tuma’s wife and shared the testimony of my time with him, of how he became lucid and prayed the prayer of salvation. Her joy was indescribable! She had prayed for this moment for so long, and God had answered her prayers.
But the miracle didn’t stop there. The very next day, Tuma’s condition improved dramatically. He woke up with a renewed strength, asked for food, and began eating. Just hours later, he was released from the hospital! It was as though God had breathed new life into him. He could now walk to the bathroom on his own, drink water by himself, and experience life again—truly from death to life! Hallelujah!
Tuma’s testimony reminds us of the power of God’s love and healing. When we call on Him, even in the most hopeless situations, He answers. Our God is a miracle-working God who hears every prayer and transforms lives.
O LORD my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me.
