Sometimes growth in the Kingdom begins very quietly. There is no great announcement or dramatic moment. Someone simply walks through the doors, takes a seat, listens—and something in his heart tells him to come back.
That is how we have come to know a young man named Mtanis.
He recently began attending our meetings at Home of Jesus the King Church, and before long, we began noticing something about him: he was genuinely happy to be there. He kept coming, kept listening, kept asking questions. And gradually, it became clear that Mtanis wasn’t looking for a place simply to attend on occasion. He wanted to belong. He wanted to grow. He wanted to become part of this family.
As we got to know him, we discovered a young husband and father of two with a sincere love for the Lord. Mtanis is now receiving teaching about salvation and baptism, taking time to understand more deeply what it means to follow Yeshua and build his life upon Him. Yet even while he is learning, something else has already begun to emerge: a desire to serve. He loves volunteering alongside the ministry and is genuinely excited whenever there is an opportunity to help. There is something beautiful about watching a person discover that church is not only a place where we receive—it is a family in which each of us has something to give.
And perhaps that is what touches us most about his story.
We rejoice when more chairs are filled, but numbers alone have never been the measure of growth we pray for. We long to see people put down roots: to know the Word of God, grow in their relationship with Yeshua, discover the joy of serving others, and carry that faith home with them. When a young husband and father begins walking more deeply with the Lord, we cannot help but think about the two children watching his life. The seeds God is planting in one heart today may bear fruit in an entire family tomorrow.
We are seeing this kind of growth at Home of Jesus the King. The Lord is drawing people, establishing families, awakening a desire to serve, and entrusting us with men and women who are hungry to know Him more deeply. And there is something especially moving about watching this happen here in the Galilee. These are the hills and communities where Yeshua once walked, where He called ordinary people to follow Him and where the message of the Kingdom began to spread from life to life. Two thousand years later, He is still calling people here. He is still changing hearts. And He is still building His Church.
Jesus said,
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few”
Matthew 9:37
We often imagine the harvest as a multitude. But sometimes the harvest has a name. Sometimes it is one young man who walks into a meeting, finds himself coming back again and again, begins learning the Word, starts serving alongside others, and quietly says through his life, “I want to be part of this.”
Today, that young man is Mtanis. We do not yet know everything God will write in his story, but it is a privilege to witness these first chapters.
Please pray for Mtanis as he continues receiving teaching and prepares for baptism.
Pray for his wife and two children, and pray with us for the many others throughout the Galilee whom God is drawing. May Home of Jesus the King always be a place where people do more than walk through our doors—where they encounter Yeshua, find a family, put down roots, and one day become the very people who help someone else find their way home.
