As the new school year approaches in Israel, many children are feeling not excitement—but anxiety. For hundreds of Arab and Jewish families still recovering from the aftermath of war, job loss, and rising living costs, school supplies have become a luxury they simply cannot afford.
At Home of Jesus the King Church, we are stepping into the gap with our Back-to-School Project—a practical and compassionate outreach to bless children in need with backpacks filled with essential school supplies.
Thanks to the support of our generous partners, we’ve already distributed 100 backpacks—each one packed with notebooks, pens, pencils, and everything a child needs to walk into class feeling confident and prepared.
But the need is far from over.
We still have 200 more children waiting—children whose families have reached out for help, many of them new immigrants, single-parent households, or families who lost everything in the recent conflict.
These aren’t just numbers. Each backpack represents a child with a name, a story, and a future.
