We are so grateful to share that a ceasefire has finally been declared, bringing a much-needed pause to the violence and fear that swept across our nation in recent weeks. We thank God for His protection and for this window of calm that allows life—and ministry—to move forward again. But even as the rockets have stopped, the impact of the war remains painfully real for so many.
Thousands of families have been left emotionally shaken, financially devastated, and in some cases, physically homeless. The trauma doesn’t disappear overnight. That’s why our mission at Home of Jesus the King Church has not slowed down—in fact, it has only intensified.
Over the past two weeks, our humanitarian aid center has been working at full capacity, providing emergency support to families in Nazareth, Nof HaGalil, and surrounding areas. We’ve been delivering food boxes to those most affected, especially in communities where both Jewish and Arab residents have spent long days and nights in bomb shelters.
These food boxes contain ready-to-eat items that do not require cooking, which is especially helpful during times of crisis, when access to full kitchen facilities may not be possible. Whether it’s a mother trying to feed her children in a shelter, or an elderly couple trying to manage without electricity, these simple packages bring not only nourishment—but hope and relief.
We have also made home visits, comforting families who are reeling emotionally and financially. Each visit is an opportunity to pray, listen, and reflect the compassion of Jesus in both word and deed. We continue to be amazed at how hearts open when the love of Christ is shown through practical help and sincere presence.
In addition to food, we’ve started distributing coloring book sets for children who have been living under fire—little ones who’ve spent hours in crowded, anxious shelters. These simple sets are a lifeline for parents and a source of comfort for kids, helping them feel safe and distracted from the chaos around them.
We’ve also been handing out electric fans to shelters and homes, especially in places where people have had to gather in tight, stifling spaces with little ventilation. As temperatures rise, these fans are making a big difference, especially for the elderly, children, and those with health conditions.
All of this is possible because of your partnership, prayers, and love. You are part of every food box handed out, every child comforted, and every act of compassion that crosses barriers of race, religion, and background. Together, we are continuing to be bridge builders between Arabs and Jews—shining the light of Jesus Christ in a time when darkness tried to take hold.
We ask you to continue to pray with us—
- Pray that this ceasefire will hold.
- Pray for healing and restoration for the people of Israel.
- And pray that you will soon be able to come and visit us in Nazareth, to see the work you’re a part of firsthand.
