“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
John 1:5
When most people see a building under renovation, they see walls, concrete, and construction materials. We see something very different. We see the place where a frightened mother will discover she is not alone. Where an elderly Holocaust survivor will receive practical help with dignity. Where a new immigrant family, trying to rebuild their lives from nothing, will be welcomed with compassion. We see children receiving food, families finding encouragement, and hearts opening to the hope that is found only in Yeshua.

That is the vision behind our new Lighthouse Humanitarian Center in the Galilee. This center will be far more than a place where humanitarian aid is stored and distributed. It will become a place of refuge where vulnerable Arab and Jewish families are welcomed with love, where practical needs are met with compassion, and where lives are strengthened through both tangible care and the transforming message of the Gospel. Every room is being prepared with one purpose in mind—to become a place where people encounter the kindness of God through His people.
That future is already beginning to take shape. We are grateful to share that the renovation is moving forward beautifully. The interior walls and room divisions have now been completed, and we are entering the next stage of construction as the building is prepared for plastering before painting begins. This important phase represents 8,000 NIS (approximately $2,350 USD) and brings us one significant step closer to opening the doors to the families who are already waiting.

Before the first family can walk through those doors, however, we must first install them. Our next milestone is the installation of the building’s main security entrance—a large industrial door through which humanitarian shipments will be received—along with the secure entrance doors that will provide safe access throughout the center. These doors are an essential part of the project. They will protect every shipment of food, clothing, school supplies, emergency aid, and humanitarian supplies entrusted to this ministry, ensuring that every donation remains safe until it reaches the families who need it most. The total cost of this next phase is 20,000 NIS (approximately $5,880 USD).
Would you prayerfully consider helping us complete this important milestone?
One day soon, children will run through these doors. Parents carrying heavy burdens will walk in and leave with renewed hope. Elderly men and women will know they have not been forgotten. New immigrants will discover that they have a family ready to welcome them. And countless people will experience the love of Yeshua expressed in both practical compassion and the message of salvation.
Today, we have the privilege of preparing that place. Thank you for helping us build more than a humanitarian center. Together, we are building a lighthouse of hope that will shine throughout the Galilee for many years to come.
