It’s a blessing for a Pastor to have a right-hand man, who’s always there to assist him in his duties as a a minister and leader at church. Sometimes you simply need an Aaron who can hold your arms up for you, when you grow weary from all manner of challenges that life throws at you. My father-in-law, Elias, is such a man.

Unfortunately Elias has been unable to move around over the past few months due to intense pain in his legs, which has severely limited his mobility, even when it comes to driving. It’s a well-known fact that the devil would often attack the workers in a ministry in the hopes of hampering the work of God. As the scripture reads in Zechariah 13:7 – “Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.”

Elias has played a vital role role as an elder at HomeJTK, and we feel his absence intensely. Besides assisting me in my role as lead pastor, he would often minister and take charge of devotional time at our meetings and conferences, as he has a tremendous anointing from the Lord to minister to the flock.

Our annual family conference is just around the corner, and we desperately need Elias to be present, as he plays a vital role in assisting me lead the daily sessions and seminars. Our leadership has been spending a lot of time with Elias at his home, to also encourage him, to lay hands on him and pray for him, and to show him love and kindness, as it’s been very hard for him not to actively involved at church.

If one part of the body is disabled or injured in any way, then the entire body feels the effect. In the same way we feel Elias’ absence, and we would ask that you please join your faith with ours, and pray with us for Elias’ complete healing and restoration in Jesus’ name. I need this man of God back on his feet to where he’s called to be, and to run the race set before him.

Amen!
