The Jewish festival of Rosh Hashanah (The Jewish New Year) is coming up. It is always a very special time for the Jewish people during which they celebrate the goodness of God and His faithfulness to the people of Israel. It’s also a deeply prophetic celebration pointing to the second coming of Jesus Christ, the Day of Judgment, and the beginning of the dispensation under His Kingship.
This celebration will be a very strategic time for us to reach out to the Jewish Ukrainian Refugees in our neighboring town of Nof Hagalil, to show them the love of Jesus through acts of kindness, as well as to share the hope that we have in Jesus, and how Rosh Hashanah connects them to the plans of God for the redemption of Israel.
This will be the very first Rosh Hashanah celebration in Israel for these dear refugees, and we want to make it a very special time for them, and to make them feel right at home here in the land. The traditional symbol of Rosh Hashanah is an apple dipped in honey, and this points to the provision of God and the sweetness that we are trusting God for in the new year. We want to show them the goodness of God, as well as the sweetness that He brings to one’s life if you got to know Him as Lord and Savior.
As such, we want to bless 100 families of Jewish Ukrainian Refugees with special food boxes for Rosh Hashana. These boxes will include a wide variety of food products, as well as traditional Rosh Hashanah products to celebrate the festival, and special treats for their children. Would you be willing to stand with us in blessing the Jewish people during Rosh Hashanah?
These special holiday food boxes will amount to $40 per family. You and your family, home group, or church can sponsor 1 family for $40, 5 families for $200, or even 10 families for $400.
May the Lord bless you as you stand with these dear ones, and Shanah Tovah! (Happy New Year!)
