Return to Me

“Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first.

Revelation 2:4

My child, I have this against you, that you have left your first love. I have it against you that you left your eagerness and longing to sit with me. I have it against you that you left my Word and have put it on your bookshelf without considering or looking at it.

I have it against you that you lost your joy and peace, and that you have allowed the worries of this world to wear you out and to exhaust you. I have it against you that you forgot the fortified shelter that you used to take refuge in, here in my bosom, and that you sought refuge in other shelters that made you even more tired and weak.

Return to me, my child, and do not be afraid, for I am still waiting for your return. Do not turn away from me, but cast all your burdens on me as you once did. Come and rise up from your slumber and from your laziness. Rise up from the dust of the world and return to your heavenly Father who loved you and still loves you.

Remember when you fell and repented, and be sure that I will never reject you. Be assured that I will accept your repentance as I did with Peter when he denied me, but then regretted his actions and repented, and returned to me as a son and a mighty servant.

Do not allow sin to suffocate you, as it did to Judas, who went and hanged himself after he betrayed Me. Do not overthink things. Return to my bosom and I will forgive all your sins. I do not alter my promises, nor do I alter what comes out of my mouth. My child, return to me, and I will return to you.

The thoughts that I think of you are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope…
