Our hearts and prayers go out to the people of Turkey and Syria who have suffered so severely from the recent earthquakes there. It has left those nations devastated and the people broken. The nations of the world mobilized in an inspired way, and help soon flooded the nations of Turkey and Syria from all directions. I’m so glad to say that Israel was one of the first nations to respond, and sent the second-biggest delegations from among all the nations with more than 450 rescue and medical professionals.
We here at Home of Jesus the King Church are also mobilizing to assist the people of Turkey and Syria in their time of need. We are planning to prepare 50 boxes of humanitarian aid to bless earthquake survivors, and to encourage them with the love of Christ. We are fortunate to have a dear friend at the border of Turkey and Syria who can receive the boxes, and distribute them to the survivors through local and trusted churches.
These boxes that we will send will contain new and good-quality clothes, socks, diapers, winter blankets, and shoes. Over and above the physical aid that we’re sending to these dear ones, we also want them to know how much we love them, and how much Jesus loves them. We need to be the salt and the light in this world, by demonstrating the love of Jesus to people in spiritual, as well as in practical ways.
“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” — Hebrews 13:16
“If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?” — 1 John 3:17
I would like to invite you to support our efforts to bless the earthquake survivors in Turkey and Syria. With your help we can make a massive difference in the lives of some of those affected. If we receive sufficient support in this project, then we will be able to even go over and above 50 boxes, and send many more! We pray that we will be able to send an abundant blessing to the earthquake survivors in Turkey and Syria through this project. Amen!
