We’re excited to share something really special that Home of Jesus the King Church has been able to be a part of recently. We’ve partnered with Women Against Violence, an organization that’s doing amazing work to help women and children across Israel who are escaping abusive situations.
These women often have nothing when they arrive at shelters — they’ve left everything behind to get to a safe place. Many of them have been through unimaginable pain, and the journey to rebuild their lives is long and difficult. That’s where we come in, with the love and support of our church family.
Thanks to your generosity, we’ve been able to bless over 45 women and their children with essentials like clothes, shoes, toiletries, towels, cleaning supplies, and food packages. These items might seem simple, but to these women, they mean so much — they are a reminder that they are cared for, valued, and not forgotten. And beyond the practical support, we’ve been able to pray with them, encourage them, and remind them of God’s love in their darkest moments.
One of the most touching things we’ve experienced in this outreach was receiving a beautiful thank-you letter from the Women Against Violence organization. They expressed how deeply grateful they are for our ongoing support and explained how much of a difference it’s making in the lives of these women. Their words really moved us. They shared that our contributions are helping survivors of violence begin to rebuild their lives and start to trust again in the world around them.
The letter also emphasized how our help is not just about providing material goods but about standing up for justice, equality, and dignity for every woman. They are working toward a society where women are safe, empowered, and treated with respect, and they see our partnership as a commitment to that cause. It was encouraging to know that what we’re doing together is helping further that mission.
This experience has reminded us of why we do what we do — it’s about showing up for people in need, letting them know they are loved, and giving them hope. The love of Christ is not just a message; it’s something we live out through our actions. And none of this would be possible without your support.
