Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles, is one of the most joyful seasons in God’s calendar. It is a time when Israel remembers that during the long wilderness journey, the Lord Himself was their shelter and their provider. Families build temporary booths covered with branches and fruit, stepping outside of their homes to declare that true security is not found in walls or possessions but in the faithful presence of God.
For us as believers in Jesus, Sukkot carries even deeper meaning. It points us to Emmanuel—God with us—the One who came to dwell among His people, who fills our hearts with joy even in the wilderness, and who will one day reign among us in fullness.
Joy in the Midst of Hardship
Yet even as this season of joy is being celebrated, many families in Israel are struggling to see beyond their hardship. The ongoing war, the rising cost of living, and the burdens of daily survival have left thousands in crisis. Instead of preparing a festive holiday meal, countless parents are wondering how to provide even the basics for their children.
This is where the love of God breaks through.
Sukkot reminds us that His shelter is for all, and this year He has given us a precious opportunity to make that truth visible to hundreds of families in need.
Where We Stand: Another 300 Food Boxes Needed
Thanks to your incredible generosity, we have already begun preparing and delivering food boxes for our Sukkot Outreach. Families are already receiving practical help, encouragement, and the joy of knowing that they are remembered and loved.
But the need is still great. We still need to prepare another 300 holiday food boxes in order to reach all the families who are waiting for help. Each box, filled with essentials for a holiday meal, costs $50 to prepare. But its impact goes far beyond groceries. Every box carries a message of dignity, compassion, and hope.
It is a declaration that God has not forgotten them, and His people care.
These boxes will go to single mothers, Holocaust Survivors, new Jewish immigrants, and families whose lives have been devastated by the war. Each delivery is more than aid—it is an embrace from the heart of Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
The Power of Your Love
We have seen time and again how a simple food package can open hearts. For a Holocaust Survivor, it is the reassurance that their life and story are still valued. For a struggling mother, it is the relief of being able to set a holiday table for her children.
For a family scarred by war, it is a reminder that light still shines in the darkness.
This is what your support makes possible. This is how your prayers and gifts are writing a story of reconciliation and healing in Israel.
