Jesus said in Matthew 21:13 “My house will be called a house of prayer, but you are making it a den of robbers.”
We should not turn our churches into tea gardens where we meet friends for tea and scones or turn it into a social club.
We should not turn it into an idyllic place for people to get together and discuss social matters
We should not turn it into a hotel where we lounge to enjoy each other’s company, and then move on to another hotel when we’re bored
The church is the holy body of Christ, and it is a house of prayer, as Christ proclaimed in the scriptures.
The church’s goal is to help people reach the path of salvation, by receiving Jesus as their Lord and Savior, to get closer to God, and live a holy life in Christ.
Christ is the head and savior of the church, and He said that He would build His Church and that the gates of hell would not prevail against it. Amen.
