Something truly special is happening through our work with Ukrainian refugees—we’re building real, meaningful friendships. This past week, we had a touching moment that reminded us why we do what we do, especially regarding building bridges between Israeli Arabs and Jews.
Barbara, the young daughter of Daria (who translates for us at the humanitarian aid center), brought Pastor Saleem a beautiful drawing. She gifted it to the center as a way of saying thank you. It may have been just a picture, but to us, it was so much more. It was a powerful symbol of healing and reconciliation between communities that have been divided for so long.
As Arab believers, seeing such love and openness from our Jewish friends deeply moved us. It’s a reminder that while we can’t change the past, we can choose to make a difference now—and that difference can change the future.
Our humanitarian aid center isn’t just about providing for physical needs—it’s about bringing people together, breaking down barriers, and sharing God’s love in real ways. And the impact of this work is clear every single day.
One of the most beautiful things we saw was how the children ran to Pastor Saleem and Nisreen with such joy and trust. That simple moment spoke louder than words, proving that the walls between us are coming down, and real connections are being made.
