This past week, our Haifa branch experienced a beautiful and deeply moving Christmas outreach — one that reminded us why we do what we do.
In the midst of a season that can feel heavy for many families, our team had the privilege of distributing Christmas gifts to children from across the city of Haifa. Arab and Jewish children came side by side, welcomed with warmth, kindness, and genuine care. There were no labels, no divisions — only children, families, and a shared moment of joy.
As the gifts were placed into small hands, the atmosphere changed.
Smiles appeared. Eyes lit up. Laughter filled the space. For many of these children, the gift itself was meaningful — but what touched hearts even more was the feeling of being seen, remembered, and loved. Parents stood nearby, often quietly moved, watching their children experience a moment of pure happiness.
This is the heart of Christmas.
More than toys or treats, each gift carried a message: you matter. In simple and practical ways, the love of God was made visible. Without long sermons or explanations, the light of Jesus was shared through generosity, presence, and compassion. Walls came down naturally. Trust was built gently. Seeds of hope were planted in hearts that may have never encountered the message of Christmas in this way before.
Moments like these remind us that ministry often happens most powerfully outside church walls — in conversations, smiles, shared moments, and acts of kindness. What we witnessed in Haifa was not just a holiday event, but a living testimony of how love can open doors that words alone cannot.
This outreach also points us toward the future.
As we prepare for the upcoming opening of our Haifa center, we are filled with expectation. This new space will allow us to walk with families throughout the year — offering practical help, a listening ear, and a welcoming environment where humanitarian care and spiritual values can grow side by side. What began as a Christmas outreach will, by God’s grace, continue as an ongoing presence of hope in the city.
