I want to share something that really touched my heart this week—something God spoke to me through Genesis 12:1–3. This scripture is the moment when God tells Abraham to leave his land, his family, and everything familiar—and just go. God didn’t even tell him where exactly. He just said, “Go to the land I will show you.”
Wow. That’s not easy.
Honestly, I’m the kind of person who always asks God questions—When, why, where? I don’t like to move until I know for sure that God is leading. But Abraham didn’t wait for details. He trusted God and took a step of faith.
And this is something God is reminding me of right now—not just about Abraham leaving his physical home, but leaving behind the things that don’t belong in our lives. Things that keep us from God. Places of compromise. Abraham left the land of idols and sin and chose to follow God into the unknown. That’s faith.
Here at Home of Jesus the King Church, we’re walking that same kind of faith walk every day. Whether it’s trusting God for finances, for projects, or for favor as we reach out to both Jews and Arabs, we’re constantly stepping out into the unknown. And honestly? It’s not always easy. But we’ve seen over and over again that God is faithful.
Sometimes you need to take that first step—even if you’re scared. Like Peter stepping out of the boat to walk on water. He didn’t see the miracle until he stepped away from what felt safe.
We’ve learned that God can’t pour out the full blessing if we stay in the old place—in the land of fear, sin, or comfort. He wants to take us somewhere better. But it takes obedience and courage to get there.
We need your prayers. We need your support. We can’t do this alone. And the amazing part is—you’re not just helping us; you’re part of this mission. You’re helping to bring hope, healing, and unity to Israel.
So let me ask you—what is God calling you to leave behind? What step of faith is He asking you to take? You never know what’s waiting on the other side of obedience.
