My son Suleiman represents a new generation of young believers in Israel, who are manifesting the true image of the one new man in Christ. The young Arab and Jewish believers in Israel are approaching the societal divisions in Israel through the eyes of faith, and are making a conscious effort to build bridges, and to serve as peacemakers in Israel.
Such an example is the friendship between my son Suleiman and his Jewish friend Tamir. They met at college and have been great friends ever since. Tamir’s Jewish community in the south of Israel was hit hard by the war with Hamas, and many families have felt the effect thereof in many different ways, be it financially, emotionally, or spiritually.
Suleiman invited Tamir to visit Home of Jesus the King Church in Nazareth, and to receive humanitarian aid for distribution in his home community. Tamir was very thankful and agreed to come visit. As you can see in the video, Tamir filled up his vehicle with food hampers and coffee stove kits which would be distributed to affected families where he lives.
It’s so beautiful to witness the reality of this new generation that is being raised up in Israel, free of the previous generations’ prejudices and fears. We give God all the glory for this transformation that is happening in Israel, and we pray that more and more young people would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
