As we approach Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year, we are reminded of God’s heart for His people, especially in Isaiah 40:1 where He calls us to, “Comfort, comfort My people.” This verse is more than a suggestion; it’s a divine command for believers to stand with Israel, showing love and compassion to the Jewish people.
At Home of Jesus the King Church, we are excited to announce our Rosh Hashana Project, where we aim to bless Holocaust survivors, Ukrainian and Russian refugees, and new Jewish immigrants who have made Israel their home. These individuals often face difficult circumstances — loneliness, financial struggles, and the emotional toll of past trauma. We believe God is calling us to extend His hand of comfort to them during this sacred time of year.
Through this project, we aim to distribute 500 special holiday food boxes filled not only with everyday essentials but also with symbolic Rosh Hashana items like honey, chocolates, and cookies to reflect the sweetness and hope of the New Year. These baskets will bring more than just physical nourishment—they will bring joy, dignity, and the message that they are not forgotten.
Each food basket costs $50, and by sponsoring one or more, you have the opportunity to make a real impact in the life of someone who has endured great hardship. Your support can bring a moment of peace, joy, and comfort to those who need it most, reminding them that they are loved—both by us and by the Lord.
