At Home of Jesus the King Church, we believe that every act of kindness can become a bridge — a bridge that connects hearts, heals wounds, and reveals the love of Yeshua in the most tangible way.
Recently, we met Oksana, a Ukrainian immigrant who came to our humanitarian center in Nazareth to collect aid. With a radiant smile and deep gratitude, she shared, “We came today to pick up some aid for everyone. We’re also sharing it with others.” Her words reflected something far greater than a simple visit for assistance — they spoke of generosity, community, and the love of Christ in action.
Among the gifts she collected were items for her friend Masha, who is soon expecting a baby. “We’re very thankful,” Oksana said with joy shining in her eyes. Her heart overflowed not only with gratitude, but with compassion — wanting to make sure others in need were also blessed.
Pastor Saleem shared in that moment of joy, saying, “This is the joy when we meet these dear people and have the chance to bless them. And they bless us with their warm smiles. Unity is so good! Correct?”
Oksana smiled and nodded, “Correct!”
It was a simple exchange — but in that short conversation, something powerful happened. An Arab pastor and a Ukrainian immigrant stood together, united not by nationality or language, but by love — the love of Jesus that breaks down every dividing wall.
Every week, scenes like this unfold at our center. Jews, Arabs, and internationals come together, serving one another, praying for one another, and discovering that we are one family in Messiah.
In a time when the world often focuses on what divides people, moments like these remind us of what unites us: the presence of Jesus, the power of compassion, and the hope that transforms hearts.
