We are continually amazed at what God is doing through your partnership and prayers. Even in the most difficult of times, your generosity becomes a lifeline for people in urgent need—and we saw this clearly during the recent war between Israel and Iran.
As rockets rained down and tensions rose, families across the nation were forced to spend long hours—and often nights—in communal bomb shelters. Many of these shelters were not properly equipped to handle such extended stays. In the city of Nof HaGalil, which borders our own city of Nazareth, hundreds of residents had no mattresses to sleep on. Children and elderly alike were trying to rest on hard floors with little comfort or relief.
That’s when we knew we had to act.
Thanks to your incredible support, Home of Jesus the King Church was able to donate 300 mattresses to help furnish Nof HaGalil’s bomb shelters, providing much-needed comfort and dignity to those seeking refuge. This urgent project was carried out in full collaboration with the mayor of Nof HaGalil, Mr. Ronen Plot, and the city council, who opened the doors for us to serve the Jewish community in their city during this moment of crisis.
Mayor Plot was deeply touched by the swift response and sincere compassion behind this gesture. He even recorded a special video message, personally thanking you, our partners from around the world, for standing with the people of Israel in their time of need. His heartfelt thanks is not only a sign of appreciation—it’s a beautiful testament to the power of partnership, and to what can happen when believers step into the gap with love.
This project also represents something even bigger than emergency aid. It is a powerful example of the fruit of our mission to build bridges between Jewish and Arab communities in Israel. Here we are—an Arab-led church in Nazareth—joining hands with the leadership of a neighboring Jewish city, working together in unity to serve the people of Israel. This is not just humanitarian work; this is the Gospel in action.
This is what it looks like when the light of Jesus is reflected in practical love and compassion.
