This past week, the team at Home of Jesus the King Church rolled up their sleeves to prepare something truly meaningful: cleaning kits for families in Kiryat Shmona and the Golan Heights. These regions, which have endured months of relentless rocket fire from Hezbollah in Lebanon, are finally seeing a fragile ceasefire come into effect. As families return to their homes, they face the daunting task of cleaning up the aftermath of war and neglect to rebuild their lives.
Understanding the immense challenges these families face, our church felt called to action.
Cleaning kits may seem simple, but they are an essential tool for creating a fresh start. Through these kits, we aim to help families wipe away not just the physical dust and debris, but also bring a message of hope and love in the midst of hardship.
Our work in this project has been made possible through a heartfelt collaboration with the municipality of Kiryat Shmona. Together, we are demonstrating that the Arab Christian community stands in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters who have suffered through these trying times. As believers in Yeshua, we feel it is our mission to reflect His love in practical ways, reaching across cultural and historical divides to build bridges of compassion and support.
So far, we have managed to assemble and distribute 300 cleaning kits.
Each kit is a tangible expression of care, a way to say, “You are not alone. We see you. We are here for you.” This initiative has been a journey of faith, as we stepped out with limited resources but great trust in God’s provision. And truly, He has been faithful every step of the way.
However, the need is still great.
There are countless families returning to homes that bear the scars of war, and we want to do more. This is where you come in. We want to invite all of our partners, friends, and supporters to stand with us. Together, we can extend a helping hand to even more families, showing them the love of Yeshua through our actions and the language of our hearts.
