For many years, one truth has become clearer to us in ministry: some of the most meaningful moments do not always begin from a pulpit, but around a table, in a meaningful conversation, or in the moment someone realizes they have been seen, remembered, and cared for. Again and again, we have witnessed how simple acts of compassion can open hearts in ways words alone never could.
That is why this new humanitarian aid center in Nof HaGalil means so much to us.
Recently, we officially signed the agreement for this new center in the Galilee—a major milestone in a vision we have carried in prayer for many years. But what we are stepping into is far more than a building project. We believe God is establishing a place where His compassion can be made visible in practical, consistent, life-giving ways.
Every week, we meet people carrying burdens few others see. We sit with elderly Holocaust survivors living in deep isolation. We meet families struggling under financial pressure, trying quietly to hold life together. We welcome immigrants from Ukraine and Russia who have arrived in Israel carrying trauma, uncertainty, and loss after leaving behind everything familiar. We meet parents doing their best to remain strong for their children while wondering how they will make it through another month.
Behind every need is a person, behind every person is a story, and every story matters deeply to God.
Over the years, we have learned that practical love often becomes the doorway to something much deeper. When someone is treated with dignity, trust begins to grow. When compassion is shown consistently, walls begin to come down. When people encounter genuine care without condition, their hearts often become open in unexpected ways. This is why this center matters.
We envision a place where practical help is offered with dignity and warmth—where families can receive food, clothing, emergency support, and encouragement; where relationships can grow naturally over time; where Jewish and Arab families alike are welcomed with compassion; and where people not only receive help, but discover they are not alone.
Psalm 68:6 says, “God sets the lonely in families.” That promise carries special weight here in Israel, where so many people are living with quiet loneliness, emotional exhaustion, or uncertainty about the future. Some have lost homes. Some have lost stability. Some have simply lost hope. We believe this center can become a place where people encounter not only practical help, but belonging.
There is also an urgent practical reason for this vision. Northern Israel has endured repeated seasons of war, instability, and crisis in recent years. Needs can arise suddenly and without warning. Having a permanent humanitarian center in the Galilee will allow us to respond quickly in times of emergency while continuing faithful ministry throughout the year. This is not about a temporary response, but about establishing something lasting—a steady place of compassion, refuge, and hope for years to come.
Of course, a step of faith like this also requires provision.
While signing the agreement was a major breakthrough, we still need to raise the remaining $226,000 by the end of June 2026 to fully secure and prepare this center for ministry. Yet as we look back, we are reminded again that what God begins, He is faithful to sustain. So many times, His provision has come through faithful believers around the world who chose to become part of what He is doing here in Israel.
Isaiah 58 reminds us to share bread with the hungry and care for those in need. That Scripture feels deeply alive in this season. Would you stand with us in prayer as we take this step?
