Thousands of Israeli families have been displaced by the near-constant missile attacks from Gaza and Lebanon, and are currently being hosted in hotels all around Israel. Our neighboring town on Nof HaGalil has also opened its doors to more than 900 displaced families.
In collaboration with the mayor of Nof HaGalil, Ronen Plot, and his city hall, we have launched an initiative to provide clothing for the families currently being hosted in Nof HaGalil. The weather in Israel is rapidly cooling down as we enter the winter season, and the fact these families only have a few suitcases in their possession, means that they need a lot of help.
And so…we went shopping! We purchased winter clothes to the value of $5000, as well as shoes to the value of $2000 for the babies, kids, and parents of these families. What a privilege to be Arab Israeli believers and blessing the Jewish people in their hour of need. This also pleases God, as the Jewish people remain his covenant people of old, through whom He has given us the scriptures, the prophets, and Christ, the Messiah and Savior of the world.
Standing with Israel and the Jewish people in these days is not popular in the world’s eyes, but it honors the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob when you do. In Genesis 12:3 God spoke the words: “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
