One of the greatest joys in ministry is seeing people discover that they are not alone.
Every week, our Humanitarian Aid Center welcomes individuals and families who are facing difficult circumstances. Some have fled the war in Ukraine. Others have arrived from Russia seeking a fresh start in Israel. Many have left behind homes, careers, friends, and everything familiar. While they are grateful to be safe, rebuilding a life in a new country is often overwhelming.
One of those families is Diana’s.
Diana faithfully visits our Humanitarian Aid Center to receive practical assistance for herself and her family. Each time she comes, she receives food and other household essentials that help ease the burden of everyday life. But during a recent conversation, what touched me most was not what she said about the aid—it was what she said about the people.
She shared how much this ministry has meant to her family and expressed heartfelt gratitude for everyone who makes this work possible. When I told her that we will soon be opening our new Humanitarian Aid Center in Nof HaGalil, her face lit up.
She immediately thought of other families.
“There are so many families living there who need help and support,” she said. “I’m very, very grateful to you all for being there, for helping, and for contributing.”
Her response reminded me that compassion has a ripple effect. When people experience genuine love, they begin hoping that others will experience it too. This has always been our vision.
Our goal is not simply to distribute food boxes or meet practical needs. We want every person who walks through our doors to encounter the love of God through His people. A warm welcome, a listening ear, a prayer, and a simple act of kindness often become the first step toward renewed hope.
As followers of Yeshua, we believe that caring for those in need is one of the clearest ways to reflect His heart. Throughout the Gospels, we see Jesus meeting practical needs while revealing the Father’s love. We desire to follow His example here in Israel, serving every person with dignity, compassion, and genuine care.
This is why we are so excited about the new Humanitarian Aid Center in Nof HaGalil. It will allow us to welcome even more families like Diana’s, providing practical assistance while creating opportunities to build relationships, pray with those who are hurting, and share the hope that is found in Yeshua.
