At Home of Jesus the King Church, our vision is simple yet profound: to show the love of Jesus in practical, tangible ways. Through our humanitarian aid center, we have seen how acts of kindness can open hearts, build bridges between Arab and Jewish communities, and bring hope to families who arrive in Israel with nothing.
One of those families is that of Eva, a young woman who came to Israel with her mother after fleeing the war in Ukraine. Their journey was filled with uncertainty, but when they arrived at our center, they found more than just clothing and practical aid — they found warmth, welcome, and the reassurance that they were not alone.
For Eva, the humanitarian center has become a place of refuge. With winter approaching, she has been able to prepare for the cold with the clothing and supplies provided through the generosity of our partners. Even though it takes her time and effort to travel by public transportation, she continues to come because she knows she will find both help and hope here.
More Than Just Aid
Eva’s experience reflects the heart of what this ministry is about. Each bag of clothing and each box of food is not just an item given away — it is a message that God sees, cares, and provides. Every embrace, every act of kindness, every prayer offered at the center is a seed of reconciliation, showing that in Jesus, there is love strong enough to bridge divides.
Through this work, Arabs and Jews are experiencing the reality of God’s love side by side. Families who might otherwise remain strangers or even stand apart are discovering that compassion unites, and that God’s peace is greater than the walls that divide us.
A Call to Stand Together
Friends, Eva’s story is only one among many. Week after week, families who immigrated to Israel from Ukraine, Russia, and all over the world come through our doors. Some are fleeing conflict, some are weighed down by poverty, and others are simply searching for hope in the midst of life’s hardships. Each one is precious to God, and each one is being reached because of your prayers and faithful support.
