Every week, the doors of our humanitarian center in Nazareth open to new faces — but also to familiar ones. Some come hesitant and unsure, others come carrying heavy stories, and many come simply hoping for kindness. And every week, the Lord gives us the privilege to welcome them, serve them, and remind them that they are not alone.
This past week, Diana and her family came to visit us again.
They are from Nof HaGalil, and each month they travel to Nazareth to receive aid, hope, and encouragement. Over time, they have become more than visitors — they have become part of our extended family.
As we spoke together, Diana wanted to share her gratitude directly with those who make this work possible. In her own words, she said:
“We come every month, and Pastor Saleem receives us with joy. We feel your support… thank you to all the donors.”
Her simple words carry a deep truth: when we give, when we serve, when we open our doors — people feel it. They feel seen. They feel valued. They feel hope where there was heaviness.
This Is Why We Do What We Do
Israel is home to thousands of families like Diana’s — new immigrants, single mothers, elderly grandparents, and people just trying to rebuild their lives. Many arrive with nothing. Many come from war zones. Many struggle quietly, unseen by society.
But at Home of Jesus the King Church, we are committed to seeing them.
Not just handing out packages, but creating an environment where dignity is restored, where hearts are lifted, and where Yeshua’s love becomes real in the most practical ways.
When Diana arrived, she brought her sister and her grandfather with her. The need is growing — not shrinking. Every month more families are coming. And very soon, with God’s help, we will open our new humanitarian aid center in Haifa to reach even more people.
This is the Gospel in action.
It is feeding the hungry. It is comforting the broken. It is welcoming the stranger. It is being a light in the darkness — not just with words, but with hands and hearts.
“We Feel Like One Family”
During our conversation, I asked Diana how she feels when she comes to us. Without hesitation, she said she feels safe — not afraid, not ashamed, not alone. That means everything to us.
Because our goal is not to create a line of people waiting for help.
Our goal is to create a family.
A place where Arabs, Jews, immigrants, and locals all find the same love of Yeshua. A place where walls come down and hope rises. A place where compassion speaks louder than differences.
And Diana reminded us that this vision is alive and growing.
