Last week we were hard at work receiving a new shipment of food that we had purchased for distribution to poor and needy Arab and Jewish families in Nazareth and Haifa. Our team of volunteers, as well as me and my family, got busy with unloading, organizing, and packing the food boxes with more than 20 different products of non-perishable and nutritious food items. These food boxes have become an irreplaceable part of our ministry in reaching the hearts of the lost and the poor with the love of Jesus.
The Lord has instructed us to take a step of faith and to expand our food distribution project to include an additional 48 poor families, in addition to the usual amount of 120 families that we assist monthly. The reason that more families are in need these days is that the prices in Israel for food and basic necessities are constantly rising and people are struggling to put food on the table.
Our food distribution project brings together Muslims from Nazareth, as well as Jews from Nof Hagalil, who come to receive aid. At our center, they have the chance to meet each other, share stories, and start friendships. In addition, they also get to hear the Gospel message from our team of passionate volunteers and workers.
