Last week, Nisreen and I were invited to visit the Knesset in Jerusalem as guests of Tatiana Mazarsky. Stepping into this place, where decisions are made that affect the lives of millions, was a deeply moving and humbling experience for us.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was one of openness and respect.
Our conversation with Tatiana was not political in nature, but deeply human and sincere. We spoke from the heart about unity — about the bridges that can and must be built between Arabs and Jews, especially in such a divided and wounded season. We shared our conviction that true peace does not begin with policy, but with the heart, and that love is the foundation upon which any lasting reconciliation must stand.
Tatiana spoke warmly about the work being done through Home of Jesus the King Church — serving new immigrants, helping families in need, standing with the lonely and the vulnerable, and bringing practical help and genuine care to people in Nazareth, Nof HaGalil, and Haifa. Her words were not only encouraging but also affirming. She reminded us that bringing light into dark places matters, and that acts of love, faithfulness, and service are never small in God’s eyes.
In her office, our attention was drawn to a verse from Isaiah 40, displayed on the wall: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary.” It was a quiet but powerful reminder that God’s Word belongs in every place — even here — and that His presence is not limited by walls, titles, or institutions.
One of the most meaningful moments of the visit came when Nisreen was invited to pray.
Standing there, in the heart of Israel’s parliament, she prayed in Arabic — freely and openly — asking the Lord to bless, strengthen, and guide. It was a sacred moment. A reminder that prayer knows no boundaries, and that God listens wherever His name is lifted up in faith.
From inside the Knesset, we shared a short video with you as a testimony: dialogue is possible, light still shines, and God is still at work in places many would not expect. We truly believe that the Word of God can break through every wall and that His love is stronger than every division.
As Scripture exhorts us, we continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem — not only the absence of conflict, but the deep, restoring peace of God that flows from healed hearts. Please join us in praying that the Lord would use us as instruments of His peace, witnesses of His love, and humble builders of unity, so that His name may be glorified among all peoples.
