Our hearts are breaking as we see the pain and fear gripping Israel right now because of the war with Iran. In places like Nazareth, Nof HaGalil, and Haifa, missiles and drones are tearing through the skies, forcing families—Arab, Muslim, Jewish, Holocaust survivors, refugees, and single moms and dads—into tiny, stuffy bomb shelters. You can see the worry in their eyes, and it hits us hard. But even in this scary time, Home of Jesus the King Church feels God calling us to step up, to bring His love, hope, and real help to people who feel so alone.
The mayor of Nof HaGalil reached out with a desperate need: 200 mattresses for Jewish families who have had to flee their homes. We’re talking about new immigrants holding their little kids, elderly Holocaust survivors, and families with nowhere else to go. Each mattress costs $43 USD, and it’s more than just a place to sleep—it’s a way to show them they’re cared for after nights spent on cold, hard floors. We’re jumping in with faith to get these out fast, counting on God and your big hearts to make it happen.
Picture being stuck in a packed bomb shelter, sweating and scared. That’s why we’re set on getting 200 electric fans to shelters in Nof HaGalil, Nazareth, and Haifa. At $27 USD each, these fans will give a bit of cool air and comfort to families riding out the danger.
We’re also bringing food boxes ($50 each) and hygiene kits ($30 each) to folks who can’t leave their homes because it’s too risky or they’re just too afraid. These will help Arab, Muslim, and Jewish families, including Holocaust survivors, refugees, and single-parent homes in Nazareth, Nof HaGalil, and Haifa. When we drop these off, we’re not just handing over supplies—we’re sharing Jesus’ love, praying with them, and letting them know they’re not forgotten.
And oh, the kids—those tired, big-eyed little ones stuck in bomb shelters for hours. We want to bring some smiles with 1,000 coloring books and pencil sets for Israeli congregations. At $15 a set, these will give kids a chance to draw, dream, and feel a little normal in this crazy time.
Things are tough, but it’s also a chance for God’s love to shine super bright. We can’t just sit back while our neighbors hurt. Your prayers and support are what we need to keep going. Every little bit you give makes a huge difference:
