At Home of Jesus the King Church, we are blessed to not only provide humanitarian aid to those in need but also to witness powerful stories of transformation and healing that can only come from God. One such story comes from Najib Kara, a talented artist from Nazareth and a new member of our growing church family.
Pastor Saleem recently met with Najib at our humanitarian aid center in Nazareth, where people regularly come to receive practical help, prayer, and encouragement. It was there, surrounded by boxes of food and clothing, that a simple but moving conversation unfolded—a conversation that testified to God’s grace and power.
“My name is Najib Kara, and I’m from Nazareth,” Najib shared. “I’m an artist—I sculpt and paint. It’s a real honor for me to be part of this church.”
Though Najib is new to the congregation, he has already encountered the love of Christ in a very real way. A few weeks ago, Najib approached Pastor Saleem with a personal request: prayer for his worsening vision. He had been struggling with serious eye problems and was scheduled to undergo surgery at the end of the month.
“I remember how earnestly he asked me to pray for his eyes,” Pastor Saleem said. “We stood together and brought his need before the Lord, trusting in God’s mercy.”
Najib describes what happened next as nothing short of a miracle. “That prayer came from the heart,” he said. “And it gave me strength. The next morning, I woke up and everything was clear—I could see everything sharply. It was like a fog had lifted.”
With quiet joy, he added, “That’s what I call grace. A blessing from God. I truly believe in prayer that comes from deep inside the heart. Amen.”
Najib’s story is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do—not only to meet material needs but to introduce people to the God who heals, restores, and saves. His testimony encourages all of us to keep praying, keep believing, and keep welcoming people with open arms.
Please continue to keep Najib in your prayers as he prepares for his upcoming eye surgery. We are confident that the same God who began this healing will carry it to completion.
