At our Humanitarian Aid Center in Nazareth, we are constantly reminded that behind every face is a story — a story of courage, loss, and longing for hope. Each person who walks through our doors carries a piece of a journey that has led them from uncertainty to the possibility of new beginnings.
Recently, we had the joy of meeting Larissa, a Ukrainian refugee who fled her homeland in search of safety and stability. Like thousands of others, she left behind family, friends, and the familiar comforts of home — stepping into an unknown future with little more than faith that life could begin again.
When Larissa arrived at our center, she was warmly welcomed by our team, who offered her food packages, clothing, and a listening ear. Her eyes filled with emotion as she expressed her gratitude — both in Russian and Hebrew — for the kindness and compassion she had received. “I am so thankful for the food parcels, for the chance to choose clothing, and for all the people who help us,” she said. “Thank you very much to Saleem, Nisreen, and everyone who gives their hearts to help.”
It was a simple exchange — a conversation filled with smiles and laughter — yet profoundly meaningful. As Pastor Saleem said in the video, “This is what Yeshua wants — unity and love.” That moment captured the very essence of our mission at Home of Jesus the King Church: to show the heart of God through love in action.
For us, every aid package handed out is more than just material support — it’s a bridge of hope. It’s a reminder that no one is forgotten, that even in the midst of displacement and loss, God is near. Through our humanitarian work, we are seeing lives touched and hearts encouraged, as refugees discover not only practical help but also a sense of dignity, belonging, and peace.
At HomeJTK, we believe that in Yeshua, we are all part of one family — one new man united not by nationality or background, but by His love and grace. The Ukrainian mother, the Arab believer, the Jewish neighbor — all find common ground in the love of Messiah. And this unity is what the world so desperately needs to see today.
It’s a joy and a privilege to be part of what God is doing among refugees and newcomers in our land. Week after week, we witness tears turning into smiles, fear replaced by trust, and strangers becoming brothers and sisters in faith.
As we continue this work, we ask for your prayers — for Larissa and the many families like hers who are rebuilding their lives in Israel. Pray that they would experience not only provision, but also deep healing and hope in their hearts.
