We are so happy to report that we have now sent off our first shipment of humanitarian aid to the earthquake survivors at the border between Syria and Turkey. It was such an amazing blessing and honor to count ourselves among the people of Israel who responded to the need of the earthquake victims with generous and effective aid.
Through the help of our partners, we were able to send 80 boxes of new clothes, new shoes, blankets, warm slippers, socks, and jackets. Our contact on the ground there is constantly in touch with us to update us on how to pray and intercede for the people there who have suffered so much from the devastating earthquake. He also mentioned that many people are still in desperate need there, with hundreds of families homeless and sleeping on the street.
As I prayed about this need, I felt the Lord leading me to a great idea to purchase tents and to ship it to these people, so that we might enable a good number of people to sleep in relative safety and comfort. With that said, our first goal will be to purchase and send 100 units of 4-person tents to the Syrian/Turkish border, to be distributed by our contact among the displaced and homeless families there.
We hope that we may be able to send many more tents and clothing, but it depends entirely on the support that we receive towards this vital project. Would you, your home-group, or church perhaps sponsor one or a number of tents for Turkish and Syrian citizens left homeless by the earthquake?
For just $50, you can provide shelter to a family of earthquake refugees on the border between Turkey and Syria, and be a shining light in the darkness. Let’s work together to make a difference and demonstrate the love of Jesus in action, amen!
