Every week at Home of Jesus the King Church, we witness God’s hand at work—changing hearts, touching lives, and building bridges between communities that many thought were too divided.
One of the most beautiful examples of this took place just recently, when we had the joy of meeting Mark, a new Jewish immigrant from Ukraine, who now resides in the Israeli city of Afula.
Mark and his family first heard about our ministry through friends in Nof HaGalil, who have also received aid from Home of Jesus the King Church.
Curious and hopeful, they came to visit us at our humanitarian aid center in Nazareth. As soon as they walked in, we welcomed them with a smile and offered them something to drink—just a simple gesture of hospitality, but one that moved Mark deeply.
“I was so shocked by your hospitality,” he said, “It’s my first time experiencing such love from Arabs.”
His words touched all of us. It’s exactly moments like these that remind us why we do what we do.
We were also able to bless Mark and his family with humanitarian aid—practical help for a new beginning in a new land. As we sat and spoke, Mark expressed genuine interest in our church meetings and asked if he could come and visit. He said he wanted to learn more—and we could see in his eyes that something had stirred in his heart.
“My name is Mark, and I’m a new immigrant. I received help here, for which I’m very thankful. People are really happy to come here to receive help.”
As Pastor Saleem shared with him during their conversation, this connection with Mark is just the beginning. We’re already seeing doors opening to serve even more people from Afula and beyond.
