In recent days, I had the opportunity to stand together with someone who has truly become like family to us—Erez, who serves in the security leadership of Nof HaGalil municipality.
When I look at what God has been doing over the past years, I am reminded that relationships like these do not happen overnight. They are built step by step, season by season. What began during the time of COVID, in moments of uncertainty and need, has grown into something much deeper today—especially in the middle of war.
As we stood together, there was a simple but powerful understanding between us: we are not working side by side as separate groups—we are standing as one family.
Erez shared something that reflects this beautifully. He said that over the years, through different challenges, we have become a strong and united family. And in Israel, we often say, “Together we win.” This is not just a phrase—it is something we are living every day.
In this current season, that unity is being expressed in very practical ways.
Through your support, we have been able to provide mattresses and first aid kits to bomb shelters across the city. These are not just items—they are part of caring for people in moments when life feels unstable. Families are spending long hours, sometimes entire nights, in shelters. Having a mattress to rest on, or a first aid kit nearby, brings a sense of dignity, safety, and care in the middle of uncertainty.
Erez shared with us, as someone responsible for the city’s security, that these contributions are making a real and visible difference. In fact, he said that Nof HaGalil is among the few cities that have been able to prepare their shelters in such a detailed and thoughtful way—making sure that residents are cared for down to the smallest details.
This is your impact.
But even as we respond to the present situation, we are also looking ahead.
In the coming weeks, new immigrant families from the Bnei Menashe community are expected to arrive in Nof HaGalil. These families are coming from India, often with very little—sometimes with almost nothing at all. They leave everything behind and arrive in a completely new land, stepping into an unknown future.
Our heart is to be there for them from the very first moment.
Together with the municipality, we want to help prepare a “soft landing” for these families—providing the basic things they need to begin their new life here in Israel with dignity and care. This is not only about practical support. It is about receiving them as family.
As I shared in our conversation, this is why we are asking our partners to continue standing with us—not only in the urgency of wartime, but also in this ongoing mission of restoration and welcome.
At the end of our time together, there was a simple message we both wanted to share.
We are one family.
We are standing together in difficult days, believing that this season will pass. We continue to pray for peace, for protection, and for God’s covering over this land and its people.
