Our effort in aiding Ukrainian refugees in our neighboring town of Nof Ha-Galil is continuing full steam, as we’re seeing more and more refugees flooding into Israel. The need is great and here at Home of Jesus the King Church we’re doing our best to supply refugees with food boxes, clothing, toiletries, and treats for the children. However, we’re not in this alone. Our partners from all over the world have risen to the challenge, and together we’ve been demonstrating the love of Jesus in serving displaced Ukrainians in Israel, as well shining the light of Christ before the Jewish and Arab people of Nazareth and Nof Hagalil.

In the video below you can see how enthusiastically our team of volunteers is busy preparing more than 100 food hampers to be delivered to the Ukrainian families currently being hosted by the Nof Hagalil municipality. This is just the beginning though, and we are aiming, by the grace of God, to be providing much more aid in the near future. For the next step in this crucial project, we will be compiling hampers of towels, clothes, and toiletries like toothpaste, shampoo, shower gels, etc.

Our aim is also set for next month, as it will be a very strategic month in reaching the different demographics of Nazareth. There will be celebrations among Christians for Easter, Pesach (Passover) for Jews, and Ramadan for Muslims. We want to use this time period to shine Jesus’ unconditional love on these precious people and show them the reality of Christ through our actions.

We will be distributing more than 300 boxes of non-perishable food items, toiletries, and kids’ snacks to impoverished Muslim, Christian, and Jewish communities in and around Nazareth. Also included in the boxes will be special easter cookies in the shapes of the crown of thorns and the open door of Jesus’ grave, representing the forgiveness of sins and the resurrection of life that is found in Jesus. These cookies are also filled with delicious date paste, which represents the sweet and precious love of Christ for each and every person.

These special Easter celebration boxes will cost us $25 each, and I would like to invite you to sponsor one or more families from among the Muslim, Jewish, and Christian communities of Nazareth, and to present them with the love and light of Jesus Christ.
