We’re excited to share a little update from Pastor Saleem’s recent trip to Italy—his very first time there, and it was truly amazing from beginning to end!
One unexpected highlight was being in Rome during the anointing of the new Pope. It was a special moment to witness, and just added to the sense that God had perfectly timed this trip. You could really feel that something significant was happening—not just in the city, but spiritually too.
While in Rome, Pastor Saleem had the chance to join friends from the ICEJ (International Christian Embassy Jerusalem) and visit some of the city’s historic and biblical sites. Walking through those ancient places brought Scripture to life in a whole new way. It was a powerful reminder that God’s story has always been unfolding through history—and still is today.
But the heart of the trip was ministry.
Pastor Saleem visited two wonderful churches where he was warmly welcomed. He shared his testimony, preached the Word, worshiped together with the congregations, and spent time connecting with people one-on-one. There was a real sense of family and unity, even across cultures and languages.
One of the messages that really touched people was about reconciliation between Arabs and Jews. Pastor Saleem spoke from the heart about how God is building bridges between people who were once divided, and how the love of Jesus can bring healing where there’s been pain. Many people were deeply moved, and you could see that hearts were open and hungry for more.
Another big blessing was the friendships that formed along the way.
Pastor Saleem shared how thankful he is for the new connections and how encouraged he felt by the support and love shown. “It really felt like God is gathering His family from all over the world,” he said. “People want to hear what God is doing in Israel, and they want to be part of it.”
And this trip is just the beginning—there’s already talk of going back again soon to keep sharing the message of love, unity, and what God is doing in our region. It’s exciting to see how the Lord is opening doors and bringing people together.
We’re also seeing more and more churches and ministries, both in Italy and beyond, stepping up to bless Israel and support what God is doing here. That kind of unity is powerful—and we believe it’s only going to grow.
