This past Friday we had a very special evening of worship and prayer for peace in Israel.
Even during these difficult days we believe that worship is key for victory, and with so many people showing up, it only confirmed that people are truly yearning for peace in the Land, excited about what God is going to do
When crossing the Jordan River, Joshua worshipped God. It was a special kind of faith, one that had no visible proof, but that stood firmly on God’s promises.
“And as soon as the priests who carry the ark of the Lord—the Lord of all the earth—set foot in the Jordan, its waters flowing downstream will be cut off and stand up in a heap.” — Joshua 3:13
“Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing.” — Joshua 3:15
When you act with faith, believing the promises of God and that His miracles are already provided — you unlock your victory.
After having crossed the Jordan River, there was another challenge Joshua and the people faced. The challenge was Jericho’s impenetrable walls.
There was no natural way of bringing down the infamous walls of Jericho. The city was a fortress. Regular warfare would never be enough. They needed a supernatural miracle.
That miracle required unwavering faith, which is what brought these walls down eventually. Trusting the Lord and obeying when He gave clear instructions they were to circle the city walls for seven days and simply worship the Lord.
The prayers and worship that was done in obedience to God brought down the fortress of Jericho’s walls.
It is the single most powerful weapon we have to this day: prayer and worship that will bring us victory like no other warfare ever could.
