Over the years it has been a wonderful privilege to receive so many guests from all around the world, with a heart for the salvation of Israel and the Middle-East, as well as a passion for seeing bridges of reconciliation built between Jews and Arabs in Israel. It has truly been a blessing for us here in Nazareth to welcome the nations here in the hometown of our Lord Jesus, and now the time has come for us to start giving back!

To that end, we have begun preparations on a Watchmen’s Prayer Room at HomeJTK to receive visitors who have come to minister, volunteer, and pray with us here in Nazareth. These rooms will allow our guests to stay in Nazareth free of charge, while being in a homely atmosphere where they can relax, spend time with the Lord, and pray in peace and quiet. We want you to feel like it’s your home away from home when you visit us.

At the moment we have a father-and-son team from the US who are volunteering at Home of Jesus the King Church. They have been hard at work in preparing for our Passover and Easter Humanitarian Outreach, and it has been a blessing for us to have them, and they have also been blessed in turn. There’s a special grace that God releases when the nations work together to bless His nation of Israel. This new Watchmen’s Prayer Room area that we are working on will be a sanctuary for guests like Josh and his son—free of charge, comfortable, and a place where you can truly feel at home.

This new area will encompass a family room where our visitors can sleep and pray, a communal area for meetings, Bible study, and fellowship, as well as a bathroom with all the amenities one can expect from a good hostel. We do not want to cut corners on this project, as I believe we need to honor our guests, and receive them as if you were receiving the angels of God.

“Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” – Hebrews 13:2

The total budget for the renovations amounts to $10,000 and will cover the costs of the beds, closets, carpets, painting, plumbing, air-conditioning, repair work, furniture, shower facilities, and tiling. We have started the process in faith, as we believe this to be an important and practical commission from the Lord to honor and bless our guests from the nations. It could even be you that we receive next time, amen!

Would you prayerfully consider sowing a seed of any amount into this project? I’ll be honest when I say that we do not have the finances at the moment, but that we are looking to God for the provision through whichever channels he chooses. If you could be part of this project, then we would be so thrilled and thankful. God bless you, and I hope we get to see you soon here in Nazareth!
