This week at our humanitarian aid center in Haifa, we were blessed not only with the joy of serving — but with the joy of serving together.
Our dear friend Michael traveled from Florida to Israel, and even before his planned tour of Israel began, he chose to spend time with us here in Haifa. Instead of resting from his long flight, he came straight to the center to pack food bags for the homeless and needy in the city. It was a quiet but powerful testimony of a heart that understands that visiting the land is meaningful — but serving in the land is even deeper.
As we stood together packing the bags, the tables were filled with simple but thoughtful items: muffins, chocolate, bagels, tuna, meat, rice with zucchini, cucumbers, corn, beans and more — food that only requires a little hot water to become a warm meal. Each package prepared with care. Each bag intended for someone who may not know where their next meal will come from.
This center, located near the municipal buildings and shopping area, becomes especially significant at night, when many homeless men and women gather in the surrounding streets. During the day, we prepare. At night, the need becomes visible.
As we worked, Michael shared from Matthew 25 — the words of Yeshua that continue to guide our mission: “When did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You something to drink?” And Yeshua answers, “Whatever you did for the least of these… you did for Me.”
These are not just verses to be quoted. They are instructions to be lived.
Michael reminded us that when we offer something as simple as food, clothing, or a listening ear, we are participating in something eternal. We are not simply running a program. We are investing in the Kingdom of God, in the very land where Yeshua walked, among the people He loves.
During his visit, a homeless man walked into the center. It had been cold at night. We were able to give him food and warm sweatshirts. In that moment, the Scripture was no longer theoretical. It was happening in front of us.
What touched us deeply was not only Michael’s willingness to serve, but what his presence represents. The Haifa center is only beginning its journey. Nazareth has been serving faithfully for many years, and now this second distribution center is growing by the grace of God. To see believers from the nations come alongside us in these early stages is both encouraging and humbling.
This is how the Body of Messiah works — local faithfulness joined with global partnership.

You are helping feed the hungry, clothe the cold, and open doors for conversations about the hope of Yeshua. Practical love prepares the soil for the Gospel. Compassion builds trust. And trust allows hearts to hear.
