We come to you today with heavy hearts, but also with hope, as we share what has been unfolding in our city of Nazareth, the very hometown of our Lord Jesus.
In recent days, Nazareth has come under rocket attacks from Hezbollah, a terrorist group in Lebanon. Our city, along with many others in northern Israel, has been bombarded with missile strikes. As sirens fill the air, families, children, and the elderly race to bomb shelters for protection.
Yet in the midst of this chaos, we have witnessed the undeniable hand of God at work.
In a miraculous event, a missile launched from Lebanon was intercepted by Israel’s defense system and fell within the city limits of Nazareth — without causing any injuries. We have also seen shrapnel rain down on homes, but by God’s grace, no lives have been harmed. We are deeply thankful for these miracles and praise the Lord for His protection over us.
It is a terrifying time, especially for the children, who are living in constant fear of the next siren or missile. The uncertainty is overwhelming, but our trust remains in God’s unfailing protection.
We believe that His peace will guard the hearts of the people in our city and across Israel.
We ask you, our dear friends, to join us in prayer for the safety of all people in Israel — both Arabs and Jews alike. Pray for the many families who have been displaced from their homes, that they may soon find shelter and be able to return safely. Your prayers and support are a lifeline to us during this difficult time.
