This past week, a beautiful and deeply moving event took place in the heart of Israel—the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast.
Multitudes of believers from the nations gathered in Jerusalem, shoulder to shoulder, united in their love for Jesus and their unwavering support for Israel and the Jewish people. Among the voices lifted up in worship, prayer, and unity was that of our very own Pastor Saleem Shalash, representing both the Arab Christian community and our church family here in Nazareth.
The Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast is more than just an event—it’s a global movement of prayer and faith.
Delegates from every corner of the earth came with hearts full of love for Israel, declaring together that God’s promises still stand, and that His heart for Israel is burning brighter than ever. The atmosphere was electric with faith, yet tender with reverence, as leaders and believers joined to intercede for the peace of Jerusalem and for revival in the land.
Amid this powerful gathering, Pastor Saleem had the unique opportunity to share his heart in an interview, offering a message of hope, reconciliation, and the unity that can only be found in Yeshua. As a proud Arab Israeli believer in Jesus, his words carried a powerful anointing—breaking barriers, healing wounds, and reminding us all that God is building one new man from every tribe and tongue. His testimony of God’s faithfulness in Nazareth touched many, shining a light on how the Lord is using Home of Jesus the King Church to bring Jews and Arabs together through the power of the Gospel.
But perhaps the most profound moment was when Pastor Saleem was invited to pray over the entire assembly.
With deep humility and the fire of the Holy Spirit, he stood before the nations and poured out his heart in prayer—boldly declaring the sovereignty of God, the soon return of Jesus, and the call for unity in the body of Messiah. Many in attendance were visibly moved, and the presence of God was tangible as Pastor Saleem’s words rose like incense before the throne.
“God, You are in control,” he prayed. “You are sovereign over every nation. You are sovereign over Israel. You are sovereign over the Arab nations. We are here together because of You. You are the center. You are the focus. We are one family through You.”
This simple but powerful moment encapsulated what the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast is all about: Believers from every background standing together in love, in faith, and in expectation of Jesus’ return.
