Shalom from Nazareth! As this year draws to a close, we’re so thankful for all that God has done — and excited for one of our favorite annual outreaches: the Home of Jesus the King 2026 Gospel Calendar.
What looks like a simple wall calendar has become one of the most effective and creative ways for us to share the message of Yeshua across Israel — with nominal Christians, Muslims, Jews, and Druze families alike. It’s a project that opens doors no sermon or leaflet ever could.
Each year, we print and distribute 1,500 calendars, giving them out completely free of charge to families, hospitals, schools, and local businesses all across Nazareth and the Galilee. Each one costs about $4 to produce, but every calendar makes a lasting difference — staying on the wall of a home or workplace 365 days a year, quietly sharing the love of God day after day.
This calendar is something that everyone in Israel appreciates and welcomes, because it includes all the main holidays from the different faith communities — Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and Druze — as well as national celebrations like Independence Day. That makes it truly useful to all Israelis, regardless of background or belief. People receive it gladly, often saying, “Thank you — this will help me keep track of all the holidays!” But what they might not realize right away is that they’re also receiving a beautiful gift from God — a daily reminder of His Word and His love.
Each page of the calendar carries a Bible verse and a short devotional message that speaks about topics such as hope, love, repentance, resurrection, and peace. The verse at the top reads:
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.”
Matthew 24:35
Throughout the year, as people check their dates or plan their week, their eyes fall on these Scriptures — and the Holy Spirit uses them to speak right into their hearts. Many have called us after reading a verse that touched them deeply, asking for prayer or wanting to visit the church.
The calendar also lists our Home of Jesus the King Church meeting times on Wednesdays and Saturdays, along with contact numbers for prayer and ministry support. We’ve heard from people who kept those details for months, and later called when they were going through a difficult time — all because that calendar was hanging on their wall when they needed encouragement most.
Other organizations sell similar calendars for 50 shekels or more, but we give ours freely — as a message of love. Pastor Saleem often says:
“$4 may seem small, but it can change a life. We don’t know who will receive each calendar. It might go to a family in crisis, a hospital room, or a shop where people pass by every day. Maybe someone will read the verse for that month — and in that moment, God will touch their heart.”
It’s amazing how something so ordinary can become such a powerful tool for the Gospel. A calendar becomes a messenger. A verse becomes comfort. A devotional becomes a spark of faith. Year after year, we see how God uses this simple gift to bring encouragement, hope, and sometimes even salvation to those who least expect it.
