This week, we’re excited to share a beautiful moment from Pastor Saleem Shalash’s recent visit to one of the most spiritually significant places in the Galilee — the Mount of Beatitudes.
Despite the wind rustling through the treetops, there was a deep sense of peace and holiness in the air as Pastor Saleem walked through this sacred site, reading aloud the very words of Yeshua from the Sermon on the Mount. Each blessing echoed through the quiet landscape, reminding us of the unchanging truth and power of God’s Word.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven… Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted…” — these were not just ancient words carved in stone but living promises for all who seek God today.
Pastor Saleem reflected especially on the call to be peacemakers: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” As a ministry committed to reconciliation between Jews and Arabs in the land of Israel, this verse resonates deeply with our mission. True peace begins in the heart, and it flows outward into relationships, communities, and nations.
The visit ended at the beautiful Church of the Beatitudes, nestled among wildflowers and overlooking the Sea of Galilee. With the wind blowing and the Spirit stirring, Pastor Saleem reminded us that even when we face persecution for righteousness, the kingdom of heaven is our inheritance.
This is the heart of our ministry at Home of Jesus the King Church — to live out the Beatitudes, to bring the message of Yeshua to our communities, and to walk humbly in His steps, one blessing at a time.
