When I stand alongside my brother Elias and my son Solomon, packing these boxes by hand, I am reminded of what it means to serve as the family of God. Every item that goes into the box—whether rice, oil, or something sweet for the children—is placed there with prayer, with care, and with the hope that it will carry not only nourishment but also the love of Yeshua straight into the hearts of those who receive it.
For many of the families we serve, life right now is filled with hardship.
Wars and conflicts weigh heavily on the nation. The economy has made it difficult for many to put food on the table. Holocaust survivors, single mothers, new immigrants, and countless others face uncertainty every day. But when they open one of these boxes, something changes. Their holiday table is no longer a place of anxiety—it becomes a place of joy. Their home is no longer filled with heaviness but with the warmth of knowing that they are seen, cared for, and remembered.
And friends, that is exactly the heart of the Gospel. These boxes are more than groceries—they are bridges of love. They bring Jewish and Arab families together under the banner of God’s love. They demonstrate that the message of Yeshua is not only spoken from a pulpit but lived out in acts of compassion. When we deliver these food boxes, we are proclaiming with our actions: “You are loved. You are not forgotten. There is hope in Yeshua.”
This is also what it means to walk in the ministry of reconciliation.
In a land where division and mistrust have often taken root, the Lord has called us to be bridge-builders. Just as a slice of cheese binds two pieces of bread together and gives taste to the sandwich, so His love binds us together and brings life where there was once separation. Each food box we distribute is a small but powerful expression of this calling—it is reconciliation you can touch, reconciliation you can taste, reconciliation lived out in action.
