Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to visit Ireland for ministry.
My time there was made even more special thanks to my dear Irish friends, Paul from ICEJ’s Ireland office and Paddy from the TJC2 (The Jerusalem Council II) initiative. They extended a warm invitation for me and my wife, Nisreen, to tour the Irish parliament. It was a surreal experience, where we got to explore the parliament buildings and meet with some distinguished members, including Mr. Seán Ó Fearghail, the Ceann Comhairle (Speaker) of the Irish parliament.
One of the most impactful moments of our visit was sharing my personal testimony. I spoke about my journey from once hating Israel to becoming someone who deeply loves the nation, embracing both Arabs and Jews as my fellow countrymen with whom we need to pursue peace. I shared how God transformed my heart and how He is using Home of Jesus the King Church to build bridges of reconciliation and peace. Our mission is to be peacemakers between Arabs and Jews in Israel, preparing the land for revival and Christ’s return.
The reaction from the parliament members was remarkable.
Many were surprised to hear an Israeli Arab speak so passionately about peace and unity. They were particularly touched by our commitment to raising a new generation free from the burdens of prejudice and hostility. It was also very encouraging to see their excitement about the work we’re doing in Israel and the amazing things God is accomplishing in the land.
We are grateful for the people of Ireland and pray that God will build and strengthen bridges between our nations with peace, grace, and love.
