At Home of Jesus the King Church, we are always overjoyed to celebrate moments that reflect God’s love and faithfulness. Recently, we had the privilege of welcoming a precious new member to our church family—baby Liana! In a beautiful ceremony, her family dedicated her to the Lord, following the example set by faithful believers in Scripture.
As it is written:
When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord…
Luke 2:22-24
This act of dedication recalls the faith of Mary and Joseph, who brought Jesus to the temple as an offering to God, entrusting Him fully into His divine care. Similarly, Baby Liana’s family has entrusted her into the Lord’s hands, committing her life to His purposes and protection.
We are also reminded of the story of Hannah and Samuel:
I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord.
1 Samuel 1:27-28
Hannah’s decision to dedicate her firstborn, long-awaited son to the Lord demonstrates a deep trust in God’s plan and a willingness to place His purposes above her own desires.
As a church, we are committed to supporting Liana and her family in their journey of faith.
We pray for God’s abundant blessings upon her life, asking for His guidance, protection, and provision as she grows. May she become a light in this world, reflecting God’s love and grace to all she encounters.
This ceremony is not just a tradition but a profound expression of faith and trust in God. It serves as a reminder for all of us to continually dedicate our own lives—and the lives of our children—to the Lord, seeking His will in all that we do.
Let us join together in prayer for little Liana and her family, asking God to bless them richly and guide them in His ways. May their example inspire us all to deepen our commitment to the Lord and to one another.
